Ghorepani Poon Hill Trekking

This low-altitude trek enables you to enjoy the breath-taking scenery of some of the highest Himalayan peaks. From the terraced rice-fields above Pokhara, we walk along good trails through picturesque Gurung villages and the world’s biggest rhododendron forest which, in spring, bursts with in many different hues. The dawn views of Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchare and Annapurna South, from Poon Hill, the vantage spot for viewing, are the highlights of this trek. Short and fairly easy, this trek is a perfect starter for those not sure of their walking ability, or those who wish to make the most of only a few days. The trek finishes at the magnificent lake at Pokhara, where you can add one or two days to the program.
Annapurna panorama trek is one of the world famous and classical treks in the world. In this trek you have a chance to see & explore the real typical village with its traditional lifestyle. Annapurna Panorama trek starting from the lakeside town of Pokhara valley and follow roughly; forest trails past nice traditional villages and through serene landscapes on a country side. Ghandruk is a modern village of Nepal carries its own culture, life style and panoramic scenery of Himalayas also another attraction place for trekkers.

During the  Annapurna trekking on lower place we will reaches at Poonhill from where can see wonderful panoramic views of the valley of deepest gorge and some of the highest mountains range of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manasalu with holy Mt. Fishtail to the northern part. Throughout the trek you'll see close up views of Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Machhapuchre (Fishtail Mountain) and the Kaligandaki Valley also be able to take a relaxing natural hot springs at Tatopani and may have explore the local lifestyle, culture, climate and topography. You'll see some World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu valley which was listed by UNESCO. This may have good choice for anyone who are looking for introductory trek on a limited timescale as well as a good choice for family trek as well with beginners.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu Airport.(1365m).
There you will be met by our Airport Representative and transferred to hotel by private tourist vehicle.

Day 2: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. (1365m)
We will provide a private vehicle and professional your own language tour guide. We visit Pasupatinath temple, Buddhanath, Monkey temple, Patan durbar square and Kathmandu durbar square.

Day 3: Kathmandu (1365m) drive to Pokhara (900 meters) 7 hours by tourist bus or 30 min Flight.
You can choose flight or drive, whatever you prefer. Our representative trekking staff will come to your hotel early in the morning to pick you up then leaving around to Pokhara.

Day 4: Drive to Nayapul (1010 meters) and trek to Tikhedunga (1570 meters) 4 hours.
We begin our trek at Nayapul after 1 hour driving by private vehicle from Pokhara. After 15 minutes short walk along the bank of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1015 meters) a large village that has many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village. The trail follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. From there, the trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1495m and after the short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1570 meters. Today’s walk offers a short and relatively easy day, during the journey which allows us to become used to the experience of trekking in Nepal.

Day 5: Tikhedunga (1570 meters) to Ghorepani Trekking (2840 meters) 5 hours.
Leaving Tikhedunga, we begin our journey with a steep climb to Ulleri. Ulleri is a large Magar village at 2070 meters. The trail then continues to ascend more gently, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti at 2250 meters. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2460m. After an hour of walking this brings you to Ghorepani at 2840 meters.

Day 6: Ghorepani (2840 meters) hike up to Poon Hill (3210 meters) and trek to Tadapani (2610 meters). 6 hours.
Today, very early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at elevation of 3210 meters, a brilliant spectacle; this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend about 1 hour, we then return to Ghorepani we take a hot breakfast at the hotel then we trek to Tadapani (2610 meters). Along the trail towards Tadapani, we make climb along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2960 meters). After that we descend to the Banthanti, we then turn off to Tadapani.

Day 7: Tadapani (2610 meters) trek to Ghandruk (1940 meters) 4 hours.
From Tadapani the trail descends through forests to Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a village of Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal; they have their own dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many Gurkha soldiers. It is a famous destination for trekkers as it is known for its beautiful mountain views and within easy reach from Pokhara and Kathmandu. We have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna conservation office, Museum and explore the village.

Day 8: Ghandruk (1940 meters) trek to Nayapul (1010 meters) and drive to Pokhara.
Today, we are going to end our trek at Nayapul after a short drive back to Pokhara.

Day 9: Pokhara City Sightseeing Tour (900 meters).
Your sightseeing trip will start at 9 AM in the morning after breakfast. Places we visit are Fewa Lake, Bagnes Lake, Devi’s water fall, Museum, Tibetan refugee settlement and Gupteshower cave.

Day 10: Fly back to Kathmandu (1345 meters) or you can extend your trip to chitwan .
At the evening farewell dinner in Kathmandu. If you are interested in continuing on to the Chitwan Jungle Safari or other adventure tours like river rafting.

Day 11: Transfer to international airport for your final departure.
The trip ends, our representative (Trek Nepal) will drop you to the Kathmandu International Airport for your flight departure from Nepal.
